Invited by the Tokyo Spring Festival, Lilli Fischer conceived and directed the scenic realization of a semi-staged Die Fledermaus at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.

Working with an international cast, she developed a theatrical framework for the festival production that expanded the concert format through newly written dialogue, visual dramaturgy and fully developed stage action.
